How is the Money Being Given Out?
The government is giving out the money in phases. This means they won’t be able to give it to everyone at once. Some people have already received their grants, and many more will get theirs by Friday, April 19th, 2024.
It’s important to remember that not everyone who applied will get their money on the first day. The government is checking applications carefully to make sure everyone who gets money qualifies. Everyone who applied and qualifies will eventually get their grant money.
Why Did the Program Start?
The government started this program last year to help people who are struggling financially because the fuel subsidy was removed. The subsidy helped keep the price of gas lower, but the government decided to take it away.
What Does the Government Say?
The Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment released a statement saying they are happy to finally start giving out the grant money. They understand how important this money is for small businesses and they want to make sure the process is fair and honest. They also want to thank everyone who applied for their patience and understanding.
This program is a great way for the government to support small businesses in Nigeria. These businesses are important for the country’s economy because they create jobs and help the economy grow.
